Light My Fire, an all-new sexy standalone by #1 New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner, is LIVE!
I don’t do relationships.
I’ve lived my life hiding my scars, revealing myself only the in the scripts I write and the characters I voice.
Few people know the real me. I’m too careful. Too afraid of getting burned all over again.
Enter Beverly Martin. A movie star. A woman so beautiful and caring she makes my heart ache. She says she wants me—and her touch almost makes me believe that a girl like her could love a man like me.
But being with her would mean letting the spotlight of fame shine on me, too. And I’m not sure I can do that—even if walking away means losing the woman I love.

Her Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series (as Julie Kenner) is currently in development with AwesomenessTV/Awestruck.
Her books have sold over three million copies and are published in over twenty languages.
In her previous career as an attorney, JK worked as a clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced primarily civil, entertainment and First Amendment litigation in Los Angeles and Irvine, California, as well as in Austin, Texas. She currently lives in Central Texas, with her husband, two daughters, and two rather spastic cats.

An inspired Beauty and the Beast retelling about Griffin and Beverly. A man with deep scars, trying to hide from the world and managing to handle his career in the shadows, far from fame. A woman, famous actor, living into the spotlight, sweet and caring with a crush on the secretive and mysterious man.
I do like story about two opposites who attract. Griffin and Beverly would be the perfect match if Griffin would give a chance on love. The chemistry was undeniable but Griffin built strong walls to protect himself.
I liked Beverly and her spontaneous personality. Someone who wasn’t afraid to show her true colors and willing to give a chance to let someone in. She fell in love with Griffin’s work first and it turned into something more throughout the story.
It was steamy and hot for sure, with a hint of tenderness. A fast paced story I enjoyed reading. It was kinda good but I was more intrigued by the next couple. The series seemed to be running out of steam in the latest books and I was glad to see some improvement in this story, but it wasn’t that enough to “light my fire”.
I guess we saved the best for last, right?
