“Leave me with this book, the characters and the bees and I’ll be one happy reader – probably forever.” – The Chatty Romance Reader

When the devil comes to town, you have to meet him head on.
Which is exactly what I did when Grant Stone rolled into our small Texas town, driving a sports car I could fit in the bed of my truck, wearing a suit as black as his soul. He’s here to acquire mineral rights to half a dozen farms in town.
And there’s no way he’s getting mine.
I don’t make deals with the devil.
So when he challenges me to show him the small town ropes, my motivation is the prospect of seeing him make a fool of himself. He might have an angle, but if he thinks he can finagle me into endangering my bee farm, he’s got another thing coming.
Until the line in the sand is washed away.
My farm in danger. A town in upheaval. A man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
And me in the middle.
When the devil comes to town, you have to meet him head on.
And when he sneaks into your heart, he’ll only break it.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

It was a delightful romantic comedy, entertaining, full of sass and sarcasm. Small town romance from enemies to lovers you’d love to see arguing!
The Blum family is composed of strong women, independent and fierce. They were protective of each other and fighting back when needed.
Especially when a stranger was coming to buy their land. As the youngest of the family, Jo was the one who was taking care of her family.
Grant was on a mission. Trying to win over the Blum family with his plan. When he met his match with Jp, he couldn’t help to make it a game, the one who would break and give in firstly. A man who used to live through the motions and playing a character all his life.
I adored the back and forth between the main characters, the witty banter and dialogue. These two could play the game but little did they know that they would be both played. It was just a delight. Watching them fighting, arguing and flirting without any shame.
When lines got blurred, all bets were off.
This was an emotionally charged sitting with a hint of humor and sexiness. They seemed to be opposites by their lifestyle but these two might learn a thing or two from the other. Passion was an essential ingredient that took place between Jo and Grant, while attempting to convince the other about their perspective. The angst was on point and the steamy parts were off the charts!
I would have liked to read more chapters because I enjoyed so much their story and I felt like it was a little bit precipitous to me towards the end but still it didn’t lose any part of the charm. I guess I am greedy!
For love or Honey? I say yes to both!
