About The Wicked Aftermath:
THE WICKED AFTERMATH is an emotionally gripping story of love, loss, and hope, with a rich and entrancing happily ever after. All Wicked novels may be enjoyed as standalone romances.
When the person you blame for your grief is the only one who can save you from the pain…
Tank Wicked lost his sister and has since vowed to save everyone else in his path. He lives by the creed of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, sworn to protect and respect his community. He selflessly saves lives as a volunteer firefighter and treats the men and women who work for him at his tattoo shop like family. But life isn’t a balance scale where good deeds negate bad things to come, and one foggy night life guts Tank once again. When a car careens over the side of a bridge and into a river, Tank springs into action, plunging into the water to rescue the passengers. Four people go into the river, but only three come out alive.
Leah Yates is just trying to make it through each day. When the man she blames for her grief becomes the only one who can pull her from the depths of despair, she discovers that even hope comes at a price. Maybe this time she won’t have to face it alone.
Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven’t met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb between the pages and join them.
She turned to Baz and Blaine. “What can I get y’all?”
Her Southern drawl drew Tank in every time he heard it. He watched her as the others ordered. Her expression morphed to a more serious one as she studied Zander’s face the way she always did, like she was trying to figure him out. “Would you like a refill?”
“I’d like your number,” Zander said with a wink.
Tank glowered at him.
Leah wrinkled her nose. “I’m not on the menu, but I’m happy to get you a drink.”
Everyone chuckled as he asked for a refill and tried again to get her number. She turned toward Tank with her gaze trained on the order pad. “And for you?”
“Whiskey, neat,” Tank said.
Her eyes flicked up to his, and in the space of a second everything else failed to exist except that thunderous roar, and just as quickly, the little color Leah had drained from her face.
“You okay, darlin’?” Tank touched her hand.
She pulled it away, stumbling backward, and scurried off toward the bar.
“Dude, are you sure something didn’t happen between you two that we should know about?” Blaine asked.
Tank leveled him with a dark stare.
As his brothers and cousins joked about him scaring Leah off every time she looked at him, he watched her heading for the bar, eyes downcast, as though she wished she were invisible again. Maybe she was just a quiet girl who liked her privacy, but that didn’t explain her reaction to him. He’d missed signs of trouble with Ashley, and he wasn’t about to let that happen again. Not to her or anyone else.

The Wicked aftermath is an emotional story about two people bonded by tragedy but bringing
all the pieces back together, heartwarming and passionate.
From the beginning, the emotional charge was overwhelming, showing how the main characters tried to grieve in their own way.
Leah and Tank seemed to have a connection but never acted on it. It took one moment to change their lives forever. This man, a protector and savior, tried his best but wasn’t able to save everyone. One accident and three people survived instead of four.
Their story was heartbreaking, a roller coaster of emotions though lost, pain and grieving, facing some aspects of life, exploring their emotional depth. Despite the tragedy of such events, the author managed to bring so much hope and love, with main characters who didn’t beat around the bush.
From all the anger and pain that they could feel, they never tried to hide it but made their best to heal at their own pace. Little did they know that maybe the universe brought them on this same challenging path, helping them both to heal.
I swooned tons with Tank, with his heart of gold, selflessness and protective side. A man who cares about his family and would do anything to help his loved ones. The Wicked is that kind of family that makes you feel like you belong, and for once Leah had people to rely on.
Leah is a badass woman, raising her family, quite fierce but also a little shy and inexperienced. A woman who wasn’t afraid to fight back but when she was hit by tragedy, the hero didn’t step back, bonding over mutual pain.
Their chemistry was off the charts, a powerful connection; sweet and smoking hot at the same time. A relationship that grew through tough times, solid, grounded and strong. Damn they were just meant to be.
Melissa Foster’s stories got me every time because of the values associated with them. Family, loyalty, integrity, respect and strength. Individuals coming from different backgrounds, families who don’t hesitate to help people in need. Love and family values entwined.
