This story took me by surprise. Genevieve and Oliver’s journey was from the beginning something intense and emotional. I have such a crush on Oliver Levesque.

Genevieve and Oliver were both somehow in the dark. One was trying to find herself but drowning and the other was fighting to get back in the rink.
The author managed to show the struggles in both characters’ careers about doing something you love but how it would be over so quickly. How hard they had to work to be at their best and not to take things for granted.

I might have been frustrated by some reactions from the characters in the beginning but I could understand to some extent how they acted that way, how they needed that wake up call to be strong together, to open their heart and trust the other. It was a long process, mostly for Genevieve. Oliver was the one to show her how she was worth the fight, worth everything.

These two just melted my heart, a whirlwind romance between the famous singer and the hockey player, who were so much more than this, making my heart race and swoon so many times I lost count.

The author has a way to write about tortured characters (especially about the heroine), showing all aspects of their personalities, developing their potential, challenging and learning about themselves and other people.

I really appreciated reading their story. Emotional, all the butterflies and all the things in between.
