When you saw the two together, it was like love could overcome everything but somehow it wasn’t enough, especially when his insecurities blind his judgment and destroyed all the hope he had inside. My heart raced so much with their story. To watch them bringing the broken pieces all together made me emotional. I felt their pain, their hopes and damn that passion and smoking hot chemistry. The angst was on point. Hearts at war, tension at its best, I wasn’t looking for something easy and the author managed to bring so many emotions at once. 

Evan didn’t take things for granted with Frankie Leigh. He fought to give his girl the love she deserved, to be the man he wanted to be. To give everything, showing his flaws and insecurities, never hiding when things get hard. 

It might have taken a while to find his way back to his home, but when he got it, determined to win her back, his girl wouldn’t give it easily and letting him feel how painful it was to be without him, holding her breath, a shadow who was more acting than living. But she was strong and tough and it wasn’t that easy to come back where they shouldn’t have ended. 

I was so blown away by this second chance romance. My heart burst so much throughout the story from the good times to the bad ones. What a journey! 

A.L. Jackson wrote such an emotional and gripping story. Damn my heart!
