I felt the freaking butterflies and all the things in between. I’ve been overwhelmed by so many emotions all at once. Ava and Connor made me feel the love, the one of a lifetime that wasn’t perfect for sure, so deep and powerful. Once you’ve found it, you couldn’t let it go. Just fight for it.
Their love was pure, raw and magical. Damn my heart. The author described a painful reality, when other people looks were always fixed on you, the fear of the unknown and the struggles for that girl was coming through with her family. And how Connor brought that happiness and magic into it.
This weight on their shoulders to sacrifice for what they felt right. Teenagers with such maturity who just wanted to feel like people of their age. To be carefree, to enjoy life instead of thinking about the next day.
Talk about heavy stuff… I thought it would have been a bit discouraged by the narrative but it was the opposite. It gave me strength, hope and to keep things in perspective. I didn’t know many times I felt like my heart was going to break and how the author managed to put these parts of magic in the air that shone with brightness. Darkness and light. Blunt, a tough battle without any pretense. Angst, love and hate but always love.
My heart bursts so much it hurts. Truly. I’ve been hooked from the start, fell in love, crushed hard and finding again the light.
These two would definitely keep a special place in my heart. A profound and authentic relationship, to love and support each other without expecting anything in return. A magnificent story filled with bravery. Poignant, inspiring, compassionate and selfless.
One of my favorites for 2019 for sure!
