Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

I was expecting Theo and Katherine’s story so much. The thing is, either it’s a success or the other way round. As much as I adored Theo’s character and the story, I had mixed feelings about Well Suited.

I appreciated the idea of this heroine who didn’t believe in love and met her match in the most unexpected way. Doing things backwards, learning to be with someone without really knowing him.

Katherine was pragmatic, never acting on her feelings because she never knew how to love someone, but looking for a partner, someone who would share her values, a relationship based on trust, a clinic approach. Believing that chemistry was a result of scientific reaction and nothing else.

Until she met Theo… a man who was a bit too charming for his own good and knowing how to find a way to her heart, even if she wasn’t really aware firsthand. He was a romantic at heart, going for what he wanted, but at Katherine’s rhythm. He was caring, protective of his family, all the things that made her feel a bit too much.

I adored their banter and story from the beginning but Katherine’s stubbornness and giving mixed signals was a bit annoying. It was dragged out and some issues were solved too easily.

It wasn’t directly what I expected to be. It was still quite good but not enough to me.
