It’s not a concept Charlotte Rose has ever considered.
She’s busted her tail her entire life.
Worked at her doomed marriage
and slaved to build the company she loves.
Work is life.
Love?…yeah, that’s something she’s learned to live without.
Divorced and tired of the fight over her beloved business,
she’s jaded and she knows it.
Charlotte needs a fresh start.
So she packs up and moves across the ocean,
to be with the one solid thing left in her life: Her best friend.
With all her energy focused on what the future holds,
she dives right back into old habits,
throwing herself into work and neglecting life and love.
She has no idea life is choking her until him…
They meet by chance, and now he’s everywhere.
He’s so centered, so calm.
She needs someone to save her from herself.
Redeem her from her past mistakes.
Free her to discover who she really is.
It’s clear that the enigmatic Rhys has found his saorsa.
The question is: Can he help Charlotte find hers?
I offer. “If we are meant to be friends, I’m sure the stars will align and we will meet again.” I was channeling my inner Louise with that line of rubbish. I have to bite the inside of my lower lip to keep myself from smiling.
I’m not usually so clumsy.”
she messed up just enough to make them highly successful individuals, who are also hilarious.
who can word battle with her. She considers herself an awesome cook and an expert baker but wants to eat out most days, however nothing is made ‘the right way’ unless she makes it herself.

I’ve heard your words ladies, so freaking much. Heather Shere and Kerry Heavens are new authors to me and it was such a delightful and meaningful encounter. Truly.
Laying on paper a beautiful story about second chances and taking what’s life has to offer, and the little plus, finding love along the way. I’ve been swept away from their meet-cute who might seemed ordinary firsthand but conveying so much emotion, just by the looks and main characters’ behavior.
As you might guess I couldn’t put it down. I’ve been drawn to Charlotte and Rhys’ journey, a bit of wildness and craziness in the air, when you can’t fight with the smoking hot chemistry and magic operating in here. Le freaking sigh…
I enjoyed reading about that woman who’s going to see her life turned upside down by the sexy, tall dark and mysterious alpha she’s just met. As a woman who needed a fresh start after a failing marriage, letting go and surrender to her desires was definitely not something she used to. Rhys was the kind of character who could captivate an audience, with his powerful and sexy presence.
I could sense a lot of things and some were really predictable to me but the authors managed to add some surprises about the turning events and let’s just say that I was pleasantly surprised. I was afraid of some overwhelming drama due to Rhys’ past lifestyle but the secrets that could tear them apart made them stronger.
The upfront tone and easiness to catch up the characters’ emotions was amazing. There was no pretense, they let their emotions guiding them, listened to their hearts, in spite of Charlotte’s reservations and wariness about finding something so strong and intense in a short amount of time.
Like a dream too good to be true. It took one determined man to make her fall for him, showing the way of being loved and trusted.
Charlotte and Rhys had this undeniable smoking hot chemistry, in and outside the bedroom, a banter that made me smile so many times. And holy smokes, the dirty talk. My kind of smut. Oh my!
It was a beautiful journey so spontaneous, to take what’s life has to offer and to see the bright side of things.
