I appreciated reading about Fanny and David’s journey braving society convention to find love in the way. A one time encounter later and their path kept crossing, and what brought them both first hand together would be soon entwined with family history.

At a time when men were supposed to court a woman and to make a marriage of convenience, the one that should be solidified both families’ business, Frances and David were two dreamers who have met on a winter day, sharing a kiss that would definitely change their lives.

Fanny  was the sister in-law to a Duke, who could do whatever she wanted and not being only a woman who had to settle, just following her heart, in spite of her family. She was bold, a bit wild for her time, full of sass, challenging any man who would cross her way.

David became an Earl way too quickly. Making some promises he shouldn’t have to, living in the pressure of choosing the one he had to marry, but not the one he loved.

Honest, loyal and caring, he’s been enamored the moment he met her, just torn between two, the reason or the heart.

I’ve been charmed by their chemistry and banter.

It was a sincere, honest relationship when both understood what people expected them to be, but not willing to settle for normalcy, or a planned life.

The spark was there and the hotness between these two… oh my!

Fanny and David had some hardships to overcome before getting their HEA. I don’t know why but there was this little something in this story that makes a lot of things terribly romantic, and I enjoyed every moment.
