After a thrilling and captivating first part, it’s time to reveal all the truths and put all the pieces of this intricate puzzle together. Penn and Cora’s fast paced journey made my heart race so many times, blew my mind and stole my breath.
I was eager to read the final installment. A story that moved along in a very rhythmic series of emotional scenes gradually rising until the final impact, the final blow. It more than I’ve been expected, unexpected twists, resentment, betrayal, you won’t be spared. At. All. And the sexual tension over there… just passionate and explosive.
Cora and Penn shared a heavy history, where their goals to escape from the darkness collide violently, crushing everything in its path. The only thing that could remained from the ashes was the love they shared, an unbreakable bond, something you could feel in your bones.
The once again they took my breath away. Gradually the shattered pieces of their broken hearts got back together. The author set the bar high from the first book and that one didn’t disappoint. I’ve been waiting for the happy ending after they had to overcome. So much.
All the tragic experiences they had to go through led them to each other and together they were stronger. I had to act that Penn’s possessiveness were incredibly hot, protecting the ones he loved fiercely. The chemistry was off the charts, switching to emotional moments to lighter ones. A sassy and witty banter. Cora was still the strong woman, selfless and passionate, challenging Penn in every way. I adored it.
I could talk about all the things that I loved in this duet, writing how that story got me, hooked me until the end. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend to grab a copy and binge read it.
It was definitely tough, rough and tragic for sure but damn if that ending just melt my heart. The beautiful thing is that love can conquer everything, it just needs one person to catch you when you’ll fall, without condition. To fight for it.
