I always have a good time with Max Monroe’s books. A spin-off about the Mavericks’ football players! Sign me in.
Now it’s about Cam to find his match. What a catch… I enjoyed how in the beginning, we could already feel the craziness in the air and I knew that would be entertained. Cam and Trixie, an amazing chemistry, a funny and sexy banter, it should have been easy, right?
And then Trixie was more difficult to catch, and the Maverick tight end has to work twice to get the woman. It just took one stubborn football player to make her weak to her knees and damn Vam was really good at it.
I don’t know how the author managed to write about colorful characters and creating this world where anything can happen, and the main characters lived quite a journey filled with so much laughter, hilarious situations mixed with some emotional ones.
Their story went to a fast pace, they fell hard and fast but some secrets might destroy their chance to happiness. Trixie had more things under her sleeve and I didn’t expect that side of the story. I appreciated strong lead heroines and she was definitely the one to give a run for his money and to challenge him in any ways.
For once, Cam was for the long haul, mesmerized by this mysterious woman who was driving him wild and crazy. It was so effortless to fall for his charms. An honest, caring man with his heart on his sleeve.
The supportive characters were a great addition to the stories and I loved reading about some I’ve met in the previous books. It created a wonderful combination, fun, sexy and sweet. Next please!
