SMALL TOWN SCANDAL by Daisy Prescott
Releasing June 27, 2017 (Wingmen, #5)
Another wingmen meets his match and this time it’s scandalous.
Carter Kelso is a man with a plan. And goats.
Ashley Kingston is a woman with a reputation.
Can he earn back her love before their past catches up with them and destroys everything?
On the island, my last name is synonymous with scandal. With a notorious father and a famous brother, I’ve been on the sidelines of our small town’s gossip circle for years. Nothing to see here. Just a man and his goats, happily going through life. Not a care in the world. Too bad it’s all lies.
I’m tired of trying not to be in love with Ashley Kingston, our very own island jezebel. Some people think she’s a slut. They think they know her. They’re wrong. Screw them.
Reputations can be deceiving. I should know.
Small Town Scandal is a second chance romance standalone novel and the fifth book in the Wingmen series. You do not have to read the other novels first.

I liked the Wingmen series and reading about how they each found their match is definitely worth the read. Time to finally, yes I said finally to hear Carter Kelso’s story. It was about time right??
First, Carter is just… overwhelming, reading this thoughts, as a man still in love with a woman he grew up with, torn about all the changes and facade she was hiding behind, his place into his family, well, the name Kelso is still attached with “Scandal”, thanks to his brother, I was more than smitten. True to himself but trying in a way to find this place, in a town where everyone knows everything, I liked his ways to help his community.
Just a man with a big heart, and with a beard … le Sigh…
What about the woman that stole his heart years ago?? Ashley has quite the reputation. Enjoying life, chasing an like the was probably changing clothes, she didn’t give a damn about what people think about her. If the Kelso family is sign of Scandal, well her family is really close behind, maybe more in the first place. I like this idea of this strong woman, hiding her sensitive side, wanting to be more and do more in her life. With Ashley, you can definitely say that appearances are deceiving.
She’s feisty and colorful, just my kind of girl.
Carter and Ashley’s dynamic was really interesting. From high school sweethearts to almost strangers, their story was kinda doomed for the start. A decade later and our Wingman couldn’t get her out of his mind, because she’s still captured his heart, and it never fades. His persistence and total honesty when it comes to his feelings made me feeling swoon. He learned from his past mistakes and his time, he wasn’t let it go.
The banter was great, sweet and fun. Besides their “heavy” history, and some a bit of drama, it worked flawlessly. It was interested to see the changes from the moment they met to the present, where I guess wasn’t all they were expected at this time. In spite of the gossips, family issues, all the mess around them, it was good to see how they handled things. To live for them and not for the others.
As usual, I love the humorous tone, leaving to some hilarious and priceless moments. I smiled, I swooned and I just melt. Another Wingmen meets his match and well, it’s delightful, fun and sexy. And don’t forget the goats.
