⭐️ Release Day – A Boy Like You (Like Us #1) You by Ginger Scott⭐️

We’re celebrating the release of A BOY LIKE YOU by
Ginger Scott!

YA Contemporary Romance
Scheduled to release: March 3, 2017

They say everyone’s a superhero to someone.

I’m not sure who I’m supposed to save, but I know who saved me. We were kids. His name was Christopher. And up until the day he pulled me from death’s grip, he was nothing more than a boy I felt sorry for. In a blink of an eye, he became the only person who made me feel safe.

And then he disappeared.

Now I’m seventeen. I’m not a kid anymore. I haven’t been for years. While death didn’t take me that day, the things that happened left me with scars—the kind that robbed me of everything I once loved and drove me into darkness. But more than anything else, that day—and every day since—has taken away my desire to dream.

I wasn’t going to have hope. I wouldn’t let myself wish. Those things—they weren’t for girls like me. That’s what I believed…until the new boy.

He’s nothing like the old boy. He’s taller and older. His hair is longer, and his body is lean—strong and ready for anything. I don’t feel sorry for him. And sometimes, I hate him. He challenges me. From the moment I first saw him standing there on the baseball field, he pushed me—his eyes constantly questioning, doubting…daring. Still, something about him—it feels…familiar.

He says his name is Wes. But I can’t help but feel like he’s someone else.

Someone from my past. Someone who’s come back to save me.

This time, though, he’s too late. Josselyn Winters, the girl he once knew, is gone. I am the threat; I am my worst enemy. And he can’t save me from myself.

Ginger Scott is an incredible storyteller, writing about things that could seem ordinary but making them extraordinary. That’s her super power. This story was poignant, angsty, and totally took my breath away. Literally.

Josselyn and Wes’s journey deeply moved me and affected me. The author managed to stir emotions in an incredible way. I was transported into this story. The kind of story that can crush me and at the same time melt my heart. This mix of emotions brought this story to another level, through the eyes of Josselyn Winters, who once was a good girl, until her parents’ marriage shattered into pieces.

The girl they once knew disappeared. The darkness was invading her. Damn her story just breaks my heart. Neglected by her father, a family secret that destroyed all their lives. It made me so sad, that girl who was so full of live became this angry and bitter girl. Doing anything to feel something, to feel like she belongs, pushing the limits to a bad extent. Years ago, a young shy boy, saved her life and disappeared. Someone she would be indebted for life.

Wes Strokes is my hero. Definitely. A boy like no one else. Very secretive and protective, looking like the boy she once knew but definitely so much different at the same time. Even at his young age, he seemed to have much experience, very mature and wise. I really liked the mysterious vibes emanating from that boy, making want for more. He was challenging Josselyn and showing that the essence of her hasn’t changed and was still there. Maybe buried deep inside but he was willing to fight for her. ** Swoon**

When I was talking about ordinary, I didn’t meant it in a bay way, just saying that story could happen to anyone, it was soul-searching and intense. The tension in their story was overwhelming, mixed with a hint of sweetness.

They might be young but all their experiences made them tougher and rougher. The two of them were stellar. The two makes a difference.

I may have suffer a bit through this story, maybe more than a bit but it was worth the journey.

The emotions in here … just unbelievable. It was just everything.

I’ll be counting the days until book #2. Wes, I’d like to meet a boy like you!
