Josh Lawson–he’s got the body of an athlete, muscles galore, and thick, tousled bed head hair. He’s always Mr. Serious, but when he smiles it transforms his entire face. I’d quietly lose my cool if that smirk were ever directed at me.
But playboys like him don’t go for theatre nerds like me. Especially when the playboy in question is a strong silent type who is my opposite in every way.
I definitely am NOT in love with my best friend’s brother. So why do I find myself dreaming/lusting over his broad shoulders and incredible arms? And why did we practically hook up on the dance floor at his sister’s wedding? I can’t get him out of my mind.
Reagan Bennett is not my type. She’s happy, artistic, and deserves the real deal. I’m moody and only good for a one night stand. But after our impromptu sleepover, I can’t get her out of my head.
She’s got legs for miles. She’s creative in all the right ways: she knows all the best spots in New York City and she’s passionate about everything she does. Plus, her chocolate chip pancakes are killer.
She’s everything good. I’m not gonna be the one to bring her down.
But the more time we spend together, the harder it is to keep my hands off her. I want her. Hell, I need her. It might be reckless, but it also might be love.

I like weird heroines and when you meet Reagan, you just want to be around her and be surrounded by happiness. How about the weird and passionate Reagan finally find her match in this story? His name is Josh, and despite of his broody mood and durable slump he felt into, the only one who can actually help him emerge from is definitely Reagan.
Reagan is a sunshine. A theater nerd. A true friend. Always helping people. When her friend Allie asked her to cheer up her big brother, because he is moody and kinda living in his self own pity, she tried to bring him some lightness.
Her happy attitude is infectious and all you want to to do is feel the same way.
Josh had to retire from his dream, playing baseball. Broody and bitter he didn’t know what to do next. After moving to New York and being close to his little sister, meeting Reagan and her bubbly personality is something that may help him to find his way back. Finding her a bit to disarming for her own good.
After some awkward moments and when they loosen up a little, things gets interesting. I like how natural they were together. With her witty and positive personality, he could see how the opportunity that lay ahead, free to choose what he wanted. The change into this mood was really great and Reagan was definitely bringing the best.
She could be herself with him and as they took a step forward as a couple, they both learnt more about themselves, to accept who they really are, without pretenses. I had a huge grin on my face for most part of the book, totally captivated by Reagan and Josh’s adventures. I really enjoyed that Reckless Romance. Fun, sexy and the characters inner conversations? Priceless. Can’t wait for the next book!
