Anissa Garcia resides in Austin, Texas and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications and English. She held an array of jobs including Public Relations Manager for Barnes and Noble. Wanting a change of pace, she moved to Los Angeles where she attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and trained full-time in theatre. After working in Hollywood, she returned to Texas where she has written articles for Cosmopolitan and Lady Couture. When not writing stories, watching movies, or drinking a latte, she loves to daydream about romantic fictional men. She also notes that if Tom Hiddleston or Chris Evans is reading this, they should know that she is definitely available.

The magic is operating again. I read in one sitting A Promise Kept and I knew I had to read the second one. I was such in a binge read that I couldn’t once again put it down. When I met Josh and Marla’s, I wanted to read their story.

Marla is a fierce woman. A feisty red-haired full of sass and wittiness but hiding her insecurities very well, too stubborn for her own good and doesn’t believe in love. Too dangerous and painful. Some bad experiences made her tougher and guarded. Putting people at distance is easier and just finding guys who were not too dangerous for hurting her was her solution. Going some someone or something easier, not the hot and sexy trainer who could make her hot anytime. Just trouble.

Josh is the hot sport tattoo guy with a heart of gold. When he laid eyes on the red-haired, his head was spinning, entranced by this woman who seemed hating him. Totally misjudged by his looks, he is ready to show Marla who he really is. To win that woman’s heart and damn that was so freaking hot. He is passionate, caring and kinda protective. Well hot again!

The sexual tension was intense and their banter was getting hotter at each interactions. Both fierce and wild, strong they could make the perfect match if Marla wasn’t putting some huge walls around her and especially around her heart.

Their journey was definitely not an easy one, with some tough battles on their way, but that how I liked about their story.

Little by little you saw how Josh breaks all the walls, pushing and challenging her. To see how deep and scoring their connexion are, a scary and enthralled feeling. Finding the one that could make you fly, your home.

Josh was a man in a mission, to make Marla his. The hopeless romantic in me was already rooting for them, to see both unravel and bloom.

Besides that part, I enjoyed all the characters’ interactions, a bunch a lovely and endearing characters. All you want to do is to know each story, in that one, you have some glimpses of the next story to come, and well I can’t wait!
Sweet, moving, funny and so romantic, this book was to me another hit! Right in the feels with a storyline that made me feel so much. Next book please?
