Synopsis
Upon her return, she sees that Leo Hudson, the scrawny boy who followed Payton around like a puppy and could recite cow insemination facts in his sleep, is long gone.
Leo is still hot on her heels, but now he’s wearing a sheriff badge and dead set on solving a murder that may or may not involve Payton…along with half the town. In a place where the biggest crime happened the day someone kicked a few of his cows, people are pointing fingers, rumors are spreading like wildfire, and Payton swears she’s only making out with the sweet-talking, studly sheriff to distract him from the secrets she’s keeping.
picturing what Sheriff Hudson looks like naked, it will be a tough job making
everyone agree that…Jed had to die.
Review
Some some crazy people and especially women, a heroine who ran away from her hometown years ago, a smoking hot sheriff who gonna make your ovaries explode and a man who has been killed? Welcome to Bald Knob.
This book makes me freaking smile, swoon and I laughed so hard, until I cried sometimes.
It was more than insane, I was caught into this story. From the first pages I was sold and ready to be part of this crazy town, where you had no privacy.
The main characters? A coffee addict, swearing like a sailor, bold, crazy and so stubborn? Please meet Payton Lambert. Damn that woman was a tornado, colorful character.
For Payton’s match, was about a sexy sheriff, who used to have a crush on her? Leo Hudson was definitely book boyfriend material, stubborn as well, more thoughtful, domineering. Damn my ovaries …
The banter was mind blowing, the chemistry was incredible out there. Perky, witty, full of charisma, I was more than entertained. Carrying out this story with no time out.
All the characters were a great addition to the story, playing a part, giving this little something, this spark, that made one of my favorite reads this year.
I’m gonna tell you something guys, I love coffee, so freaking much. I drank a lot but that one made by Tara Sivec? Just the perfect blend of humor, intercourse and sweet and romantic times. Right up my alley!
Did I tell you that you’d laugh and swoon a lot? But the ultimate question is: who killed Jed?
