This was an intriguing and interesting novel.Water under The bridge was an amazing surprise. Totally kick ass.I was stunned by the way the story was told but I admit it took me a some time to get into it.
I read this book like a diary, about two people who are definitely your usual heroes, describing about their darkest fears, hopes and cravings. And I have to say it was frightening and gave me chills. Written with such straightforwardness, sarcasm and dark humor.
It was very different, from the storyline and narration part. The characters were a pair of deranged psychos, trying to act like normal in this world, wanting to be loved and feel loved. But how could they find a way to find happiness, among all the bodies left behind?
I’m really impressed by Kate and Jude. Kate scared me a lot, more than Jude. She has a way to give you chills, her mind was fascinating and frightening. Messy and uncontrollable.
Jude was more methodical, sharp as a knife. Both different by her lifestyle but sharing the same compulsion and fire.
In a way they both complete each other but have to overcome some obstacles in their journey, to let someone into their hearts, no secrets or lies in between. Two serial killers who were trying to be a couple, and destroying everything in their paths.
No one is safe around them and a pile of corpses following their trail. The pull, connection is too intense with no turning back. I was stepping into the unknown and I was enthralled. I was glad to give this book a try, definitely worth it.
