Five time X Games medalist.

The world is his playground—especially this year—and for the next nine months I’m stuck as his tutor on the Study at Sea program.

He’s too busy staging worldwide stunts for his documentary to get to class.

But if I can’t get him to take academics seriously, I’ll lose my scholarship…if I don’t lose my heart first.

Six unlikely friends on a nine-month cruise with the Study at Sea program will learn that chemistry is more than a subject and the best lessons aren’t taught in the classroom…but in the heart.

ABOUT REBECCA YARROS

Rebecca Yarros

Rebecca Yarros is a hopeless romantic and a lover of all things coffee, chocolate, and Paleo. She is the author of the Flight & Glory series, including Full Measures, the award-winning Eyes Turned Skyward, Beyond What is Given, and Hallowed Ground. She loves military heroes, and has been blissfully married to hers for fourteen years.

When she’s not writing, she’s tying hockey skates for her four sons, sneaking in some guitar time, or watching brat-pack movies with her two daughters. She lives in Colorado with the hottest Apache pilot ever, their rambunctious gaggle of kids, an English bulldog who is more stubborn than sweet, and a bunny named General Fluffy Pants who torments the aforementioned bulldog. They recently adopted their youngest daughter from the foster system, and Rebecca is passionate about helping others do the same.

The promise of an exciting adventure, in cruise with the smoking hot leader of the Renegades?? Count me in!
Rebecca Yarros created an amazing concept about this group of extreme sport junkies.
She made me travel to some beautiful and heavenly places, through Leah and Paxton’s discovery about love, friendship and to overcome and face their fears, filled with angst, action, with this huge hint of adrenaline throughout the story.

Paxton is the leader of the Renegades. In his twenties, healthy, handsome, too confident for his own good and all the ladies were fanning over him.
Not used to be told about his behavior or manwhore ways, he’s been knocked out and put in his place thanks to his new tutor Leah.

Leah was so different from Paxton, secretive, a little tight sometimes and definitely kidding some deep scars. I really could relate to this character, through her experiences, fears and expectations. She didn’t know what was gonna hit her when she accepted to part of this trip, where all her limits were gonna be tested, challenged thanks to him.

The connection was here and the two were fighting so hard this attraction. As you might guess, the temptation is too strong, the lines were blurred. Was everything real or was it the cruise making everything so much better, almost too good to be true?
I had a good time, but it missed more deepening in the storyline to make this book more solid.

The banter was pretty great, the scenery places were awesome and it was really nice. But why despite all the beautiful things showing in that book and the sexy characters, I couldn’t get into it. I tried. The first part was kinda exciting and the later in the story, the more I was feeling more detached, just enjoying being at the surface, not wanting to scratch more.

The writing was good to me, don’t get me wrong. All the beautiful things were reunited to make a great adventure but I wasn’t into it.
It was kinda interesting to see how Paxton and Leah connected but there was too many things going on sometimes and switching too fast from one problem to another. A good change of scenery for sure but a little bit predictable at times.
