Tillie Cole hails from a small town in the North-East of England. She grew up on a farm with her English mother, Scottish father and older sister and a multitude of rescue animals. As soon as she could, Tillie left her rural roots for the bright lights of the big city.
After graduating from Newcastle University with a BA Hons in Religious Studies, Tillie followed her Professional Rugby player husband around the world for a decade, becoming a teacher in between and thoroughly enjoyed teaching High School students Social Studies before putting pen to paper, and finishing her first novel.
Tillie has now settled in Austin, Texas, where she is finally able to sit down and write, throwing herself into fantasy worlds and the fabulous minds of her characters.
Tillie is both an independent and traditionally published author, and writes many genres including: Contemporary Romance, Dark Romance, Young Adult and New Adult novels.
When she is not writing, Tillie enjoys nothing more than curling up on her couch watching movies, drinking far too much coffee, while convincing herself that she really doesn’t need that extra square of chocolate.
**** This book cannot be read as a standalone. *****
It was twisted, sickening and it was to me the darkest and utterly tortured story that Tillie Cole wrote. I was overwhelmed from the beginning by all the angst, violence and sociopath tendencies of 194.
Each book has it own atmosphere, is getting darker, with entwined characters and stories.
This book is very graphic, dealing with abusive situations. I was a little scared about the turning events, and a little anxious to read about 194 and the woman who’s gonna steal his heart and save his soul. But what is the price for love? Blood, pain and torture. Tillie Cole didn’t spare the reader. I was holding my breath until the end. Damn.
I really enjoyed the interconnected story. From Luka to Zaal then to 194, a bond were created. From their experiences at being abused and used like killer machines, from all the pain they suffered from. These men touched me. And 194? Totally broke my heart. A man trying to save his sister from their sick and twisted jail at any price.
I felt a little bit sick by the story’s background and I admire the author creativity to convey such emotions, to deliver something completely insane and tricky.
Once again, she could write about strong female characters and Zoya was no exception.
she was a force a nature, so strong. Her past life showed how much she dealt with pain and when it was time to finally reach happiness, her world crumpled, and darkness became her daily basis.
194, was a freaking monster, lethal and under the control of an organization who made him their best weapon; no humanity, cold hearted, he was a man on a mission : save his sister.
His story was so heartbreaking and painful. When Zoya came into his life, the beast was a little by little being tamed by this woman who could read his soul and found the little of his soul well hidden.
The violence and utterly dark story didn’t bother me. I’ve just had some difficulties to connect with the insta love between Zoya and 194. I wanted to read something more expanded, because due to their situation, it needed more time to grow, to bloom into this epic story. As individuals, they were so endearing and you couldn’t not get attached to them, but as a couple, I liked it too, but it missed this little something that would make their story more special.
However, I didn’t really connect with the main characters as a couple. Even if what they shared was moving, I was more concerned by other characters.
Ravage is a good addition to the series for sure and the author’s writing was flawless, playing with my emotions. A dark tale where no one is save!
I’m still speechless by all the universe she created with this series. Just wow! Can’t wait for the next one, because I’m sure this one will be mind-blowing! A war is coming …
