OMFG!! I know it’s weird to start a review like that. It’s not a secret that I adore R.S. Grey’s stories. And this one was definitely something, it made me sweat! Guys, this book would be coming with a huge HOT warning alert!!
“Tease me like that again and I’ll make sure you regret it.”
I thought that I was ready for Erik Winter but damn I’m still processing my thoughts, what the Hell happened here?? This book was a freaking tornado of mixed feelings.
Hot and bothered? Yes
Steam and foreplay at its best? Hell Yes
I really like the banter and foreplay between these two. The story took foreplay to another level. This thick tension was from the first moment they met, heavy, mixed up sexual tension, lust and hate. Wow!
Brie had nothing to lose, she had to win gold medals for her family, for all the sacrifices her mother made for her. She is a gymnast, one the best and nothing would come between her and her career. Ever. She was a firecracker, stubborn, always up for the challenge and discovering a new hobby : to infuriate and to push her coach’s buttons. She was reckless and totally immature at times.
A twisted game when no one would be safe, and unscathed.
“This was her: hot and cold, distant when I wanted her close, impossible to resist when she wanted to be.”
Well, I met some assholes in the books I read, but Erik Winter could win an award. As the best of his kind! Cold hearted, manwhore, hot and sinful as hell, the perfect match to Brie’s smartass and spirit mind. Intense and forbidden at every levels!
Erik was a character I loved to unravel. Each layer leading to another one, and the only woman who managed to break all the walls was the one he should stay away from. Tough, rough and sometimes vulnerable, … Le sigh.
“His eyes were so gravitational, I had to resist the urge to bend closer and get an ever better look at them.”
Brie and Erik, a recipe for disaster, with to tons of thermonuclear vibes. The foreplay was utterly captivating, the little twisted game was each time going further, out of bounds. Playing with the fire has never more tempting and holy guacamole, it was combusting.
“If she wanted to be with a man, she needed to learn what that meant.”
The mood and tone of the book was addictive. I enjoyed the banter so much. The heat was going crescendo until the end, smoldering and scorching. The craziness and wildness in their relationship was overwhelming.I loved to despise this guy and I wanted to hug Brie and high five her.
This book is the sexiest and hottest written by R.S. Grey!
