How do you know whether you can trust someone?
Maggie Washington is used to relying on herself. Growing up in Iowa, her wild curls and parents who dumped her on her grandmother made it so she’s never fit in. Skeptical of other people’s motives, she’s always been the fling or the friend. Looking to define her life after college, she’s thrilled when she scores a choice summer job working in Yosemite National Park restoring habitat.
Court Thompson is a gorgeous (and bearded) forest ranger with a love-em and leave-em reputation. When he shows interest in her, she’s torn. Even though she’s flattered by his attention, she doubts his sincerity—and her ability to get out of the friend-zone.
Will Court be able to coax Maggie into trusting him that he’s for real? Or after the summer of s’mores and skinny dipping, will he let her down like everybody else?

About the Author:
Lumbersexual by Leslie McAdam … Le sigh!
When a bearded man is involved, I can’t say no, and what about the scenery places? Let me grab just a backpack and I’m in, ready for the adventure!
I love the way Leslie McAdam writes stories. I really do. Each time I read one of her books, I keep losing track of everything totally entranced by the story. Once again, I fell for one of her guys! Her heroines are definitely great!
Sassy, funny, nerdy and adorable, Maggie wasn’t expected to find the smoking sexy Court, in this place!
Maggie was trying to find herself. A summer job restoring meadows in Yosemite National Park sounded like the best way … Until Court the sexy Interpretive ranger came along and bloody Hell, Just reading Maggie’s description of this man made me drool!! Kinda crazy right?
I enjoyed the pace of the story, the beautiful places, the quietness and also the turmoil of emotion going on here. A freaking combusting fire!
I wish I could really go there and enjoyed as well each moment.
Surprisingly, I wasn’t bothered by the short length of the story. It was well written, well balanced! The magic was operating and I travelled! I swooned a lot, I smiled more than once and this was the kind of story I love to read. Beautiful, sweet and as usual smoking hot! A novella I’d read all over again! Just a breath of fresh air!
I could write so much more about the book, but just one advice : go grab a copy!
