Eleven years ago, I saved her. I loved her. But they took me away from her and locked me up. For two years, all I could think about was her. She consumed me. Took up every room in my head and gave me something to focus on, knowing I would see her soon.
Nine years ago, I watched her as she walked down the aisle and into the arms of a man who wasn’t me. My brother. I left my home and never looked back.
Now, I’m staring at seven letters, each envelope stamped with one word in bold, red ink: URGENT.
I have no choice but to go back home. Seeing her will be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. But in order to reconcile with my past, I have to face my present. Even if the thought of seeing her, knowing that she is out of my reach, kills me.
I have no idea what awaits me, but I can only hope that the demons of my past will finally be buried and put to rest.
**Due to possible triggering descriptions of self-harm, and some sexual situations this book is not recommended for anyone under the age of 17 years old**
Autumn Grey is the author of the Havoc series (Havoc, Obliterate, Mend). And just like her characters, she is quirky, sometimes funny and definitely flawed. She writes sexy contemporary romances full of drama, steamy kisses and happy ever afters.

There’re times when you read a book that took your breath away, drained you and at the same time progressively make you whole. A strange feeling, isn’t it?
Fall Back Skyward was such a intense and very too close experience to me. I was warned by the triggers here and I had to step out of my comfort zone to read It.
I wasn’t disappointed by taking a chance on this book and to be caught up by this emotional treadmill. This book wasn’t easy to read, so damn challenging, the issues here were tough, gut-wrenching with this strong thread about two wounded and broken souls who found each other in the darkness.
Cole and Eleanor are meant to be. Two young souls who endured and dealt with so many pain, sorrow, and always searching to fulfill their emptiness. A love story expanded on a decade, with this scorning and burning relationship between these two.
To me, these main characters are EPIC, fighting against their demons, trying to take a chance on life and love even with all the hardships them had to overcome, and trust me, the author wasn’t beating around the bush : there was this bluntness tone in this story, a way to stir the emotions deep inside you, straight to the heart.
Eleanor was dealing for almost all her life with herself, fighting her demons and dark thoughts about how she felt useless and rejected by her father. A constant inner battle for this survivor described with a disconcerting reality.
She was the fire under the ice, emerging from her torpor by her new neighbor, Cole.
Damn Autumn, Cole was definitely something … A passionate and intense man. He hadn’t an easy life but was making each day an opportunity to realize his dream, despite his cold and shy behavior. Always targeted like someone different due to his condition, he learnt to fight back, to be tough. This is the kind of character I appreciate : honest, hot, caring, and especially fighting for the ones he loved.
I got It very bad! This story was a constant challenge, I was in awe of the author’s words. Not only she could write about difficult issues in a very smart way, without self pity but in a way you want to make the main characters work for it, rooting for them, feeling It all, but mostly with the romance part.
And oh my … The connexion between them was sizzling and electrifying. The fact that they had to sign to communicate at times was powerful. Feeling so many things by just one glance was giving me goosebumps, and the steamy scenes with some dirty talk? I was just melting.
As you might guess, this book is emotionally charged from the beginning until the end, when the past and the present collided in an explosive way. This book made my heart race, beating so fast. I was blown away by the depth of the storyline and characters.
I thought I was going to be devastated but even with their journey tainted with all this darkness of despair, It gave me hope. Never hold back and be a fighter. Life isn’t meant to be easy. But the way Cole and especially Eleanor healed together, loved, felt for each other? So worth the read.
A must tearjerker read with an epic love story, that defied time. After holding my breath for half of the story, my heart started to beat again to the rhythm of Cole and Nor’s journey, when you understood that even through the hardest and darkest times, you can’t never lose your soulmate.
Cole and Nor’s journey was the kind of love you could try to break, but never succeed to destroy, just making it stronger. Take a chance on this book, you won’t regret it!
