Blurb:

When foul-mouthed, tattooed, vegan Marie Diaz-Austin accepted a summer internship on a ranch north of Santa Barbara to work with underprivileged and special needs kids she was expecting hard work. She wasn’t expecting the gorgeous, but conservative rancher, Will Thrash who wants nothing to do with left-wing hippies like her.

While they both may be stubborn when it comes to climate change, they’re much less rigid about considering a summer fling. Although they hate each other’s politics, they can’t deny their immediate and growing attraction to each other. But when the stakes are raised and they’re forced to make a choice what will give? Their principles or themselves?

About the Author:

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves – even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it’s Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She’s unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that’s what editors are for!).

Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she’s not in the writing cave you’ll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.

Oh my, oh my, hotness!!

Sometimes you fall in love with a fictional character and sometimes this character can make you all mushy, and sometimes it’s both!

And Will Thrash, the cowboy made me all mushy and I was giggling a lot!!!

When a “conservative” republican met a liberal democrat, for an encounter that gonna change their lives forever, what happens????

I’m gonna ramble a lot but did you remember the commercial about a famous diet drink, with the Etta James’ song “I just wanna make love to you”, once in 1966 and then in 2013? (Sorry but this one is kinda my favorite) that’s the Will Thrash effect, and this song kept coming to mind since the first time they met.

Marie is a foul mouthed, tattooed and vegan woman, accepted an internship in a ranch. Selfless, full of life, she was a freaking tornado turning upside down a certain owner of the ranch, Will Thrash. She wanted to be a therapist and this place was the perfect one to gain experience and to enjoy what she liked the most : helping people. She’s fighting for her ideals and met her match in the grumpy, kinda first jerk, Will.

Look at this!

Will, my new next boyfriend! Firsthand cold, distant and acting like a assh**le, he was all fire under the ice, and oh my, it was so damn good. Only Marie, the new intern, was giving him hell, by pushing him and standing for her ideas. But this man was full of surprises, and revealing a beautiful personality. Caring, kind, dominant and bossy at times, I loved every side of him!

Foreplay, foreplay … that was smoking hot! A banter that gave me goosebumps, made me melt! I was sold.

Will and Marie seemed not well matched first, because them couldn’t have a conversation without arguing. Did someone call the firemen? Because it was a hell of a fire between these two.

Sexual desire displayed by adults in love

The chemistry out there was just mind-blowing and sizzling. The author explored very well that part. But it wasn’t just this! Their relationship not started in a conventional way and they had a very unique first encounter, but what struck me was how they built it, how to give your heart and to be in love with someone, by giving too much power and be vulnerable.

Marie was having issues about being involved and my head was spinning a little due to her uncertainties, when Will was the opposite, maybe moving too forward. Hopefully, Will, her friends were here to realize that she had to let it go and just feel.

Let talk about serious business, the sex!!! They argued, get hot for each other and had a lot of make up sex. And I loved it! This part brought their relationship to another level, showing how much they belonged together. Smutty or kinky, I was satisfied!

They couldn’t deny the attraction, constant craving but couldn’t they make it work outside the bedroom?

I was scared of the drama, but there was a certain maturity in this story, where the characters had sometimes their moments for sure and it handled with passion and cleverness. When things went down, they always tried to make it work, with honesty. This is the kind of story that got me.

This is my crush review on Leslie McAdams’ writing and I am so going to read the first one!

Don’t be afraid to read the bonus scene about Will’s past, the smutty woman in me enjoyed it!! Anyway, this book took me by surprise, with the perfect blend of sexiness, hotness, sweetness, kinkiness and romance, you heard me well, there was some romantic moments that gonna make you swoon.

The scenery place was beautiful and I wanted to move here, feel the quietness and peacefulness. I enjoyed to see how Will and Marie were working with the kids, helping them to feel better and working as a team.

Damn I can head Etta James’ song again …

Next book please?
