What I didn’t expect was Vic.
Like a moth to my blazing destruction, I’m drawn to him.
We’re lust. We’re rage. We might even be love. We’re definitely two people who shouldn’t be together, but we belong together. It’s not long before I’m wondering if Vic could be more twisted than the man I ran away from. Our fire won’t burn forever, but something tells me Vic might revel in the ashes.
*** Review for the second editing ** Beta Read **
I think I read this book more than 4 times already, and every time, it’s always a surprise.
Mary, I was more than happy to Beta read for you. I am so proud for all the amazing work you did with this second editing and thank you for keeping up with my crazy feedbacks and my pickiness!
I’m stop rambling, I promise!
You Own Me was a whirlwind and excruciating read. Your head is gonna be spinning around and trust me, when you enter into the tornado of Vic and Lennox’s love story, you will not be remained indifferent. Rough, raw, insane, at times heartbreaking and gut-wrenching, but always with this intense passion emanating through the story.
The two of them is a combination of a freaking bomb, ready to explode at any moment … An explosive and destructive relationship. As the story unfolds they were mostly avoiding the inevitable, not to face each other’s problems. Love can conquer it all, but with Vic and Lennox, we were not so sure. The attraction was too powerful to resist, and I was hurt to see them going into this path, where they were both happy and at the same time miserable.
Their story broke my heart and even at the end, I felt like they had so much more to tell, and especially having more from Vic. (The story is told in Lennox’s POV)
I have to tell that this book drove me sometimes crazy, made me frustrated, and between each other big issues, I wanted their happiness. To my mind, it was a half-hearted reading. I loved it and I hate it at the same time!
Very good job, Mary, keep writing!
