Obsession knows no bounds…

Anna Jameson can’t wait to escape the hell hole that her cousin has left her in. Desperate to escape her past, the idea of moving to stay with Holly whilst she got her head together sounded like the perfect plan… Until Holly upped and left, leaving Anna to pick up the mess that she left behind.

Jensen Blake knows what he wants and will not be told otherwise. Obedience and control are what he knows best. With demons of his own, he has spent most of his adult life traveling from place to place the moment things started to become predictable.

When Jensen and Anna are pushed together, an instant dislike simmers between them. Anna hates bad boys. She has witnessed enough of them to last her a lifetime.

The sexual attraction between them is evident but will that only make things harder for them both to handle?

Hot alpha bad boy alert!
S.M. Phillips knows how to put you in the mood, and writes about alpha bad boy sinfully and delightfully sexy and hot, but also about a very strong, sassy, and very stubborn woman.

The story of Anna and Jensen, was full of « I love you then I hate you and you’re driving me crazy ». In one encounter, these two didn’t get along, excepted for the huge physical attraction they both felt. And damn it’s was hot!
But how can you deal with this attraction when you try to stay away as far as possible from bad boys?

Anna is working in bar, when she had her routine. One day, she had to acknowledge the presence of the king of the bad boys and jerk in chef, Jensen. From that moment , her world was upside down.
This woman is tough don’t gave a shit about what people think, but has this vulnerable and sensitive side that she tries to hide behind her walls. We figured out that she has some big issues and was running from her past. She wanted to protect her heart and was staying away from guys like Jensen.

Jensen was all arrogant, prick, gorgeous and totally an asshole around Anna. It was like she brings the bad, and anger inside him out. This guy was so much lacking of people skills and his relationship with Anna definitely proved that point.
Bad boy, always here for a good time, he had some trouble to get Anna, who seemed so uptight.
Behind this behavior, was a great guy with a big heart, always caring for his family.

I really liked how these two were interacting, showing a range of emotions , giving a good tempo to the story. The sexual tension was between them was smoking hot, even when they argue so many times that I lost count. There were at each other’s throat.
Jensen was pushing Anna’a buttons, and at the beginning I wanted her to punch hip for his behavior, she didn’t do that (almost), but he had for his money, so that was great.

The story is full of mystery and intrigue. The author teases up by giving us some sporadic information. Who is really Anna? What or Who is she running from? …
So many questions!
As you might guess, there’s a cliffhanger, and I was happy to have book 2 on my Kindle, because I am not very patient when it comes to story like that.
Thanks S.M. Phillips for giving me an ARC, I was so enjoying the ride! Book 2 here we go!
