Blurb :

They say time heals all wounds.
What a load of bull. It’s been four years, and Kate’s voice still echoes in my mind.

Every. Damn. Day.

I numb her memory when it taunts me. In college, I drown her out with booze and easy lays. I can’t do what she asked.
I can’t let her go.

Not even when Lia shows up, freaking ripping what’s left of me to shreds. Caring about someone isn’t worth the deadness that follows after they’re gone. I didn’t ask for this. Didn’t ask for her.
And I sure as hell didn’t plan to miss her when she walked out of my front door.

Now, if I want to keep her, I have to straighten myself out and earn her. I can’t screw this up.
Because if I do, I’ll lose more than just Lia.

I’ll lose my life.

5 “Love, Always stars”!
This story was as much heartbreaking, gut-wrenching as magnificent!!  Deeply emotional and beautiful.

” My last wish, Damian, is that once you’ve read my diary, you’ll put it in a box. Place it in the attic somewhere and leave it there. Let it collect dust. “

From the beginning you knew that Damian’s journey is gonna be tough, gut-wrenching.How can you survive when the person you loved the most, died?Damian lost his soul mate. This is his story after her death, 4 years later.

It can be read as a standalone.

Damian didn’t dealing well with Kate’s death. It  was like living in the darkness, feeling empty and using women, booze, to forget how miserable he was. His pain and sorrow were so heartbreaking, feeling Kate everywhere, he couldn’t move on and didn’t have the strength to do it.

Each day, was an other when he had to endure his life without Kate. Four years of misery and a complete descent into hell. After his mother and brother’s death, then it was Kate’s turn and to Damian, the feeling of guilt was stronger than ever, because he couldn’t save them from this fate. The hero wasn’t a saint, complete ass***e but I coudn’t despice him. His behavior wasn’t cautionable of course, using women and leaving them like trash. He was tough, rough, and dark. Completely drowning.
But one day, his brother’s girlfriend (Ellie) came back to town, after all these years. All his life was upside down. With an unexpected and choking news. How could he possibly love someone after Kate?

Ellie was also grieving, with Damian’s help. They both found solace in each other after his brother died. They went through a lot and being together make the suffering more bearable. They used each other. She was falling for him, but stayed away because he found Kate. She is strong, brave and succeed to move on, almost (especially when it comes to Damian) . She left and went far away, to forget him and the town where all the memories were still vivid, with people who were here reminding too much of her boyfriend.

Ellie and Damian have history for sure , but I won’t tell you more about it because you really have to read it, to understand the beautiful story behind Ellie’s return and how considerably his life is gonna change forever and for the better, especially with Lia.

The road to second chance at love and to rebuild a life was sure very tough, difficult, but with this light into his darkness, Damian will finally find a way to grieve and to move on. To be a better man.
