Review : Chasing Claire (Hells Saints Motorcycle Club #2) by Paula Marinaro

Claire Winston knows she’s lucky to be alive—and even luckier to have the love and protection of a man like Prosper, her adoptive father and leader of the Hells Saints Motorcycle Club. Yet, try as she may, she can’t leave yesterday behind. She’s still haunted by Reno, the bad-boy biker her heart loves but her spirit fears. And she can’t seem to escape the terrifying memories of a night filled with blood, bullets, and brutality.

Hells Saints soldier Reno has tried everything with liquor and lace to get Claire off his mind. But he just can’t forget her freckles, her fierce fragility, and her tender heart. He knows he’s the only man who can give her the love she truly deserves.

As Claire and Reno spiral back into each other’s lives, they wonder if happiness is finally in their cards. But when violence once again explodes around them, Claire must decide if she really can trust Reno and commit to life with him—or if she’ll stay chained to her past forever.

Claire Winston is survivor. She and her sister survived a traumatizing childhood. She wanted to move from her past and traumatizing kidnapping by going to her adoptive father, President of a Biker Club.
He did everything to protect them but the wounds of her heart were difficult to heal.
She had a past with Reno, his nephew. The were totally infatuated to each other but some issues get in the way.
He was trying to move on with booze, women and a lot of trips far away.
But when he came back to town, all his resolutions were crushed and got only one goal : win Claire’s heart.

My first impression of Reno wasn’t very good, he completely fullfied his role of a jerk.
Claire seemed kind of fragile due to her traumatized past but she is a fighter. She wanted to change her life and get an education. Reno was watching her for away, with his protective ways, caveman side.
There were a lot a very hot moments, but some sex scenes were kind of too much for me (especially one involving Reno at the beginning of the story). I don,’t think I would handle that situation, but I’m not Claire, so whatever.
The sex chemistry and love was there and we could feel how much Reno was in love with his old lady, he cherished her, treasured her. And it was damn hot! *SWOON*
But some people from their past were hiding in the shadows waiting the right moment to strike back.
Even if that part could separate them, it was that they get them together, stronger than ever.

I enjoyed that story: crazy stuff and people , very steamy and hot moments and a very handsome bad boy biker totally crazy and unconditionally in love with his woman. Claire was a great character, fighting for the ones she loved. It was a decent read.
