Review : Temper for You (For You #3) – Genna Rulon

“Life is messy. Love is messier.” -Catch and Release

Meg Adeio has led a life of isolation—not by choice, by necessity—until one act of heroism forces her out of seclusion. Despite a past shrouded in mystery, Meg is “adopted” by an eclectic group of friends that become the family she never had. Life was good for the first time in…ever.

Or it was until Westly Black reappeared on her doorstep. She knew he was the last man any woman should give her time to—only good for one thing—yet a temptation no woman could deny. Wes might make her life messy, but Meg’s eyes were wide open and she had it under control. At least she thought she did.

When past and present collide, loyalties are tested, forcing Meg to sacrifice her future to protect those she loves.

Temper For You is a gripping story of regret, deception, and redemption – filled with raw emotion, sarcastic wit, intrigue, and love’s propensity to forgive.

• Though Temper For You is a part of the For You Series, it can be read as a stand alone
• This story is appropriate for readers 18+

My review :

ARC from Genna Rulon for honest review!

« The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances : if there is any reaction, both are transformed » – Carl Jung

This is the third book of the « For you » series, the story about Meg (Ev and Sam’s friend working in Higher Yearning) and Wes (the defense attorney of Heath’s family).
After what happened in the second book, Meg is living in Sam’s apartment and finishing her degree in sociology.
Life goes on and one day a stranger knocks her door and Meg didn’t recognize him at first.
After a few moments of panic, she did and the exchange between them is very tough!
Wes is her new neighbor!
Even she despised him, we can feel the chemistry between them. Meg is a complex and mysterious women and Wes is shark at work, succeed in his job. Since she dumped him in the coffee shop in book 2, Meg tried to avoid her attraction to him. Wes is aware of their chemistry and tries everything to be at her side, « stalking » her by his window!Making plans to get her.
From this moment, Wes came into Meg’s life and wasn’t expected more. He became accepted by the gang and their relationship grows incredibly faster and deeper.

I don’t want to spoil because i think you need to read this book for what’s coming next in this story.

Meg is very strong and tough character, beautiful outside and inside but she’s hiding something very big from her background.Always caring for her adopted family (Huntleigh and Grifflo). I love how they interacted as friends but also as a family. The girls interactions are so funny and with no filters!! They are like sisters and even their bond, Meg can’t tell them the truth for their safety.
Wes is no string attached, taking what he wants but he has one rule : no relationships and mostly with married women. He knows how attractive he is, like sex on a stick! he’s so hot and alpha!
He doesn’t justify for his actions and he’s aware of his qualities. He was a kind of asshole at the beginning but it didn’t make him a despicable character and i really appreciate it!
As a couple, they are so great, we can fell how they are extremely meant to be together. I love how they tried to be honest, especially Wes, because Meg having her issues, can’t confide to people and he knows it. He doesn’t want to push her.
The chemistry is not only sexual; they are best friends, lover and a lot more. It’s a whole.
Welcoming Wes in her family wasn’t easy, the guys were guys, (especially Hunter, i love him too by the way), he wasn’t looking for kindness and be accepted so quickly (thanks to Sam: she is so entertaining).

I went through a lot of emotions but i like how Genna Rulon succeed to manage sadness, funny moments (i laugh a lot even the real topic of this story), sorrow, redemption,…
This is well settled and the psychology of the characters doesn’t lie on the surface, well developed.
I wasn’t anticipate for Meg’s background, and the author is a really tricky woman! All of it make Meg so stronger and very loving character, she ’s totally devoted to her adopted family and did all she can to protect them.

Trust me, i read this book in less than a day, because i can’t put it down and was consumed by the story!
If you don’t know Genna Rulon’s writing, it’s time to get ready for an amazing series, each book are fantastic, with endearing characters. What i expect from a book is to live another one’s story and the author handle it very well.

I give this book more than 5 stars! I want to thank Genna for giving me this ARC and can’t wait for the release day : 24th September! Genna you rock! Be sure that i will read all your incoming books. (I can’t wait,2015 is too far!!!)
I’m sad to leave the gang but i know that is not a goodbye!! 😉
